In this short blog we will be taking a look at the famous meme cryptocurrency the Dogecoin. We will also look at some interesting facts followed by the comparison with the bitcoin and at the last we have a look at most famous word in the crypto world which is " HODL".

Doge is an Internet meme that became popular back in 2013. The meme typically consists of a picture of a " Shiba Inu " dog accompanied by multicolored text in Comic Sans font in the foreground. The text represents a kind of internal monologue and is deliberately written in a form of broken English .

After the meme , the coin was created by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer just to make cryptocurrency a bit fun and interesting . The Doge Coin was not that popular back in that time but in 2021 it blew up .

Although Bitcoin and Dogecoin work on the blockchain technology , there are a lot of difference in these two coins . 

Bitcoin was the first ever cryptocurrency and was followed by the other alt coins like Ethereum and Dogecoin . Bitcoin is a very serious cryptocurrency which involves a huge amount of money, time and risk but on the other hand we have Dogecoin which is a fun cryptocurrency made up on a meme which involves a pinch of humor to the serious cryptocurrency world and this factor makes Dogecoin very special.

HODL

Hodl is slang in the cryptocurrency community for holding a cryptocurrency rather than selling it. As the experts say " No one knows what could happen in the future , so JUST HODL IT ! " . 

A person who does this is known as a "Hodler". It originated in a December 2013 post on the Bitcoin Forum message board by an apparently inebriated user who posted with a typo in the subject, "I AM HODLING." And also it is suggested to Hodl some Dogecoin too !
